Are you looking for a heavy duty drain cleaner that is safe? Don’t use anything containing hazardous acid. Drain cleaners can be very hazardous but this one is a safe and natural one that works great.
In a container with a lid combine 2 cups of baking soda, 2 cups of salt and ½ cup of Cream of Tartar. Find Cream of Tartar in the spice aisle. Be sure you label the container with what it is and the directions.
To use, have 2 cups of boiling water ready. Pour ¼ cup of the cleaning mixture down the drain. Follow immediately with the boiling water. Wait 30 minutes and flush with cold water. If the drain is very slow, add the cleaner and hot water, wait 30 minutes and repeat. Flush with cold water.
