Juicy Lucy Burger

Juicy Lucy Burger Recipe - with an Umami Burger Base

Yield: 6-8 Burgers
Total Time: 20 min
Choose what ever cheese you like. We grated the cheese because it'll melt better, especially if you like your burger medium/rare or rare. If you don't cook your patty for long, the cheese will at least be melted. If you like your patties well done, then slicing the cheese will melt well. !!Warning, the cheese will be like molten lava just after the burgers have finished cooking. Eat with caution.

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs (910g) ground Beef
  • 1 Tablespoon (15ml) Fish Sauce or Worchestershire (don't be afraid of the fish sauce, it's awesome!)
  • 2 large cloves Garlic, minced
  • fresh cracked Black Pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon (5ml) Sugar
  • 1/2 lb (225g) grated Aged or Regular Cheddar Cheese or cheese of your choice (traditionally it's made with American cheese)
  • 6-8 Hamburger Buns
  • condiments of choice

Directions:

  1. Combine the ground beef, fish sauce (or worchesteshire), garlic, pepper, and sugar in a bowl. Mix together well.
  2. Roll the beef into 6-8 balls. Split each beef ball in half and flatten out to your preferred patty size. Place about 2-3 tablespoons cheese in the center of one patty, then top with the other patty and seal the edges by pinching and smoothing with your fingers. .
  3. Gently press flat, double checking there are no opening for the cheese to escape when the burgers cook.
  4. Cook on a grill or skillet over medium high heat (usually about 3 minutes per side). Toast the buns and serve with your desired condiments.

Watering Your Plants

How to save your plants from being overwatered

Sometimes too much of a good thing really is a bad thing. This is definitely true when it comes to overwatering your plants. Obviously, plants need water to survive, but some plants thrive on less water than others.
While it may be tempting to give your plant a ton to drink, according to an article from Proven Winners, too much water is the leading cause of early plant death. The great thing about plants, however; is that they are excellent communicators. They show warning signs when they are not being treated properly. Let’s discuss the warning signs of overwatering and what you can do to avoid it.
Warning signs
An article from Proven Winners indicates that the primary issue with overwatering has to do with the roots. The root of the plant is its lifeline. Without strong roots, the plant can’t take in nutrients and grow. Too much water will cover the roots and make it impossible for them to breathe. The water will also work as a barrier that doesn’t allow any fertilizer to reach the root. Over time, this will lead to root rot. The following are signs that you may be overwatering:
1. Wilting
Wilting may be something you associate with too little water (and this can certainly be a sign of that!), but the difference will be in the soil. According to an article from JAIN, if your soil is moist and yet your plant is wilted then most likely this is because it has too much water.
2. Yellow leaves
If your leaves are growing slowly and have a yellow tinge, then they are probably taking in too much water.
3. Tips of leaves turn brown
Brown leaves can be a sign of too little or too much water. An article from JAINindicates that the way you can tell the difference is how the leaves feel. If you aren’t watering enough, then the brown leaves will feel dehydrated and crisp. If you are watering too much, then the leaves will be soft and limp.
What you can do
According to an article from Proven Winners, not all is lost when you have a drowning plant. If your plant is going to survive, it should look considerably better in about a week if you do the following tips:
1. Move to the shade
Plants in a shaded area use less water. Even if the plant is a sun plant, you should move it from sunlight until the water situation is under control. Once it is stabilized, you can move it back to the sunlight.
2. Allow the pot to drain
Make sure the pot can drain some of the water out. The idea here is to allow the water to escape as much as possible. You can create holes in the planter or repot the plant altogether. Allowing the plant to remain in standing water will significantly decrease its chances of survival.
3. Create air pockets
The plant’s roots need air. You can create air pockets by shifting the pot and tapping it on its side so that the soil ball is loosened. This will allow the roots the opportunity to receive much-needed air that was trapped by water.
4. Allow soil to dry
Avoid watering the plant until the ground is dry to the touch. Don’t allow the plant to get too dry as that can also kill it. You can opt to mist the plant if the leaves look brittle even if the soil is still damp.
How to avoid overwatering
There are certain steps that you can take to help you avoid overwatering your plants in the future. Missouri Botanical Garden makes the following suggestions:
1. Know your plants
Make sure that you have an understanding of how much water your particular plant needs. Some plants need soil to be consistently damp while others thrive on a more sporadic watering schedule. If you don’t know, be sure to reach out to a professional who can answer your questions.
2. Water deeper, not more often
Watering deeper into the roots will ensure that the plant is receiving adequate water without having to feel like you need to water each day.
3. Add mulch
Mulch or compost can work as a drainage system for the plants.
4. Don’t be fooled by a dry surface
The surface of the soil always dries out first. To get an idea of how dry the soil really is, probe the soil and turn over a bit of it. If the underneath is still moist, then the plant does not need water.
5. Prioritize new plants
Young plants generally do require more water than established plants. However, be careful not to overcompensate just because they are the priority. However, young plants do not have a set root and will rely on surface water to thrive.
Water is a good thing, but remember sometimes less is more. What tips do you use? Share with your friends to help keep their plants thriving!

chocolate Eclair cake

Borrowed and Shareing

Chocolate Eclair Cake
1 cup water
1/2 cup butter
1 cup flour
4 large eggs
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 large box (5.1 ounces) vanilla instant pudding
3 cups milk
1 8 oz. container cool whip (you won’t use the whole container) or one batch of homemade whipped cream
chocolate syrup or homemade chocolate sauce
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 400. Lightly grease a 9″X13″ glass baking pan.
Eclair Crust: In a medium saucepan, melt butter in water and bring to a boil. Remove from heat. Stir in flour. Mix in one egg at a time, mixing completely before adding another egg. Spread mixture into pan, covering the bottom and sides evenly. *If the sides of your pan are too greased you won’t be able to get the mixture to stay up the sides so make sure to just lightly grease.
Bake for 30-40 minutes or until golden brown (Mine only took 25 minutes.) You may want to check it occasionally-you don’t want to overcook the crust, it will ruin the cake! Remove from oven and let cool (don’t touch or push bubbles down).
Filling: Whip cream cheese in a medium bowl. In separate bowl make vanilla pudding. Make sure pudding is thick before mixing in with cream cheese. Slowly add pudding to cream cheese, mixing until there are no lumps. Let cool in fridge. When the crust is completely cooled, pour filling in. Top with layer of cool whip however thick you want it and serve with chocolate syrup. *If you want to make this even better use homemade whipped cream.

Queen of Clean talks Hair Spray

Shared from the Queen Of Clean
Here are the tips I gave yesterday on Good Morning Arizona for SURPRISING USES FOR HAIRSPRAY.
Hairspray is a pretty amazing product and can be used for many things besides hair. When buying hairspray, for cleaning and other purposes, go to the $$$ Store. Generally the cheaper the quality of the spray the better it will work. Remember, when treating stains, sooner is better and always be sure the stain is out before anything goes in the dryer. Heat sets stains.
Removing Grease From Clothes
Spray the grease spot heavily with hairspray. Shake on baby powder or talc and rub in slightly. Add a little more powder to the surface. Let sit about 15 minutes and launder as usual. Do not put in dryer until you are sure the stain is gone.
Removing Lipstick From Fabric
Apply hair spray to the lipstick stain and let it sit for a few minutes. Wipe off the hair spray and the stain should come off with it. You can also spray heavily and work in with a soft brush, like a toothbrush. Then wash your item as usual.
Removing Hair Color From Fabrics and Surfaces
Drench the area with hairspray. Let it sit about 10 minutes and then launder. This works best on new stains. The sooner you treat it, the better luck you will have.
Preserve The Shine On You Shoes
After you’ve lovingly polished your shoes to give them the just-from-the-store look, lightly spray them with hair spray. The shoe polish won’t rub off so easily with this coat of protection.
Keep Recipe Cards Splatter-Free
Don’t let the spaghetti sauce splatter on your favorite recipe card. A good coating of hair spray will prevent the card from being ruined by spatters. With the protection, they wipe off easily. Do several light coats to build the finish, which will be similar to shellac.
Remove Ink Marks On Fabric
Squirt the stain heavily with hair spray and the pen marks should come right off.
Keep The Zipper Up On Your Pants Or Jeans
Spray a little hairspray on the zipper and components and that zipper won’t fall until you wash them.
Lint Removal.
Spray hairspray on an old piece of cloth or paper towel, or shop towel and rub it along your coat or sweater. The mild stickiness of the spray will attract the lint. This also works well on pet hair.
