Cleaning shower ClassDoors

I don't know about you, but I have a love/hate relationship with my shower. Mine is a glass block shower, but glass shower doors are pretty much the same, great to look at until the soap scum and minerals form on it - and usually really hard to clean!
To really clean it, mix 50% Dawn Original or Ultra (it must be this, if you substitute it won't work) and 50% warm white vinegar in a spray or squeeze container. Apply to the doors and glass. Let sit 20 - 30 minutes and then rub with a gentle scrubbing sponge. Don't use anything too abrasive that will scratch. Rinse with COLD water, it helps avoid foaming, and dry. If needed repeat. Once the door is really clean and dry, apply RAIN-X, yes, the one used on car windshields. It will put a protective coating on the glass that will allow water to bead up and run off, eliminating the soap scum and spotting. Clean and reapply when the beading up of the water stops. To prolong the cleanliness, squeegee the glass or wipe with a microfiber cloth after each shower. Buy RAIN-X at auto supply stores and big box stores.
