<li style="box-sizing: inherit; font-size: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">Stack the 2 10” x 6” rectangles of cotton fabric on top of each other. You’ll sew the mask as if it was a single piece of fabric.</li>
<li style="box-sizing: inherit; font-size: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">Fold over the long sides ¼” and hem. </li>
<li style="box-sizing: inherit; font-size: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">Fold the double layer of fabric over ½” along the short sides and stitch down.</li>
<li style="box-sizing: inherit; font-size: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">Run a 6” length of ⅛”-wide elastic through the wider hem on each side of the mask. These will be the ear loops.</li>
<li style="box-sizing: inherit; font-size: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">Use a large needle or a bobby pin to thread it through. Tie the ends tight.</li>
<li style="box-sizing: inherit; font-size: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">Gently pull the elastic so the knots are tucked inside the hem. Gather the sides of the mask on the elastic and adjust so the mask fits your face.</li>
<li style="box-sizing: inherit; font-size: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">Securely stitch the elastic in place to keep it from slipping.</li>

<span style="box-sizing: inherit; font-style: italic; line-height: inherit;">TIP: Don’t have elastic? Use hair ties or elastic head bands. If you only have string, you can make the ties longer and tie the mask behind your head.</span></div>

<li style="box-sizing: inherit; font-size: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">Avoid touching your face while you’re wearing a face mask.</li>
<li style="box-sizing: inherit; font-size: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">Grab your mask by the straps or back to remove it (not from the front) and then immediately wash your hands.</li>
<li style="box-sizing: inherit; font-size: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">Wash the mask immediately to avoid contaminating your belongings.</li>
<li style="box-sizing: inherit; font-size: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">The CDC advises the use of face masks in public settings where it is difficult to maintain social distancing, such as grocery stores and pharmacies.</li>

One-Pan Roasted Chicken and Autumn Vegetables<br />
Serves 4</div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: MissionGothic, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 1.5; margin: 0px 0px 24px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px;">
4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs<br />
4 carrots<br />
1 medium sweet potato<br />
1 red onion<br />
2 Tbsp + 1 tsp olive oil, separated<br />
2 ¼ tsp salt, separated<br />
Fresh ground pepper<br />
¼ tsp garlic powder<br />
¼ tsp chili powder<br />
¼ tsp ground mustard</div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: MissionGothic, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 1.5; margin: 0px 0px 24px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px;">
Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a sheet pan with foil. Set aside.</div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: MissionGothic, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 1.5; margin: 0px 0px 24px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px;">
Peel the carrots and sweet potatoes. Starting at the large end, cut the carrots into ½ inch slices. As the carrot gets skinnier, make the cuts a little longer, so all the pieces are about the same size overall. Cut the sweet potato into 1 inch pieces. Cut the onion into small wedges. Transfer all cut vegetables to the sheet pan. Drizzle with 2 Tbsp olive oil, then toss until evenly coated. Spread out in an even layer. Sprinkle with 1 ½ tsp salt.</div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: MissionGothic, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 1.5; margin: 0px 0px 24px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px;">
Nestle the chicken thighs into the vegetables and drizzle with 1 tsp olive oil. Sprinkle with ¾ tsp salt and fresh ground pepper. In a small bowl, mix together the garlic powder, chili powder, and ground mustard. Sprinkle spice mixture over the chicken.</div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: MissionGothic, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 1.5; margin: 0px 0px 24px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px;">
Roast in the preheated 400°F oven for 40 minutes, or until a thermometer inserted in the thickest part of a chicken thigh reads 165°F. Put pan under the broiler for 2-4 minutes, until the chicken is golden and crispy, being careful not to burn it. Remove from oven and let sit for 5 minutes.</div>

<div style="color: #454545; font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-size: 12px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal;">
Meatloaf stuffed Onions!!</div>
<div style="color: #454545; font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-size: 12px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal;">
Ingredients <br />
2 pounds ground beef<br />
1 cup bread crumbs<br />
1 egg, beaten<br />
1 cup milk<br />
1/2 cup BBQ Sauce<br />
1 teaspoon salt<br />
1/2 teaspoon black pepper<br />
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder<br />
3-4 Yellow Onions (med-large)<br />
1 Package of Bacon<br />
More BBQ Sauce</div>
<div style="color: #454545; font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-size: 12px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal;">
Directions</div>
<div style="color: #454545; font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-size: 12px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal;">
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, crumbs, egg, milk, ½ cup BBQ, onion, salt, pepper and garlic powder. Mix together with your hands until thoroughly combined.</div>
<div style="color: #454545; font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-size: 12px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal;">
Cut top and bottom off onion, cut in half and peel off skin. Then separate the onion into "layers". Use the larger outside layers.</div>
<div style="color: #454545; font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-size: 12px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal;">
Stuff your Meatloaf mix between two Onion Layers (essentially making an onion seal around a large meatball)</div>
<div style="color: #454545; font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-size: 12px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal;">
Wrap each "bomb" with 3 slices bacon and secure with toothpicks.</div>
<div style="color: #454545; font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-size: 12px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal;">
Bake in a dish with sides (to catch grease) at 425 for approx 40 minutes or until internal temp 165.</div>
<div style="color: #454545; font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-size: 12px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal;">
Add BBQ sauce all over and bake an additional 5 minutes!</div>

SERVES 8 | ACTIVE TIME 25 Min | TOTAL TIME 1 Hours 20 Minutes
1 loaf of Sourdough bread
16 ounces crisp cooked bacon, diced
1 pound 93% lean ground beef
½ teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
1 teaspoon red chile paste (I used Gourmet Garden)
1 teaspoon garlic paste (I used Gourmet Garden)
1 tablespoon spicy Montreal Steak Seasoning
8 ounces shredded cheddar cheese
8 ounces shredded white cheddar
Preheat oven to 350°F. Prepare 2 sheets of aluminum foil to wrap bread in, overlap the foil so the bread will be completely covered.
In a medium skillet over medium high heat combine beef, pepper, chile, garlic and steak seasoning. Cook until browned. The fat should have absorbed, but if not drain on paper towels.
On a cutting board, slice bread in 3/4-inch intervals, being careful to not cut all the way through. Cut again, crosswise, not cutting all the way through.
Slide bread onto foil and stuff half of cheese between all cuts, then stuff beef between cuts. Sprinkle loaf with remaining cheese and bacon.
Wrap foil around bread snuggly and bake for 35-45 minutes (until cheese inside starts to melt; uncover and bake 15 minutes more or until cheese is bubbly. Serve hot. Enjoy!

Salted Caramel Mini Apple Cake Bundts
What now? Going on instinct alone, I put it back on the stove, on a very low heat, and stirred like mad for quite a long time. It was working, though, and the solid mass was getting smaller and smaller. I did add a tablespoon of butter just to give it a good glossy finish, the way I do with savory sauces, and a good hit of sea salt since salted caramel is much better than regular caramel. And...I had caramel! Really, really tasty caramel. Much better than anything I'd ever tasted from a jar.
Later, I researched where I'd gone wrong and found that my cream was much too cold compared to the sugar. The temperature difference caused the seize and, in future, I should heat my cream. So, learn from my mistake, heat your cream and make this sauce. Pour it over this cake or any other cake or on ice cream or just grab a big spoon because this stuff is goooood. Enjoy!
Ingredients
Apple Cakes:
1 Stick unsalted butter, at room temperature
1 1/2 Cups sugar
1 Teaspoon vanilla
3 Eggs
1 1/2 Cups all purpose flour
1 Teaspoon baking powder
1 Cup sour cream
1/2 Teaspoon salt
1 Golden Delicious apple (or your favorite), peeled, cored and diced
Salted Caramel Sauce:
1 Cup sugar
1 Pint heavy cream, warmed
1 Tablespoon unsalted butter
1/2 Teaspoon sea salt
Salted Caramel Mini Apple Cake Bundts
Add the eggs and sugar to a large bowl and beat together until creamed. Beat in the vanilla and the butter followed by the sour cream. Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt and slowly beat into the batter. Gently fold in the apple pieces. Butter and flour 6 mini bundt pans and divide the batter equally into each. Bake in a pre-heated 350 degree oven for 45 minutes or until a cake tester comes out clean. Allow to cool before removing the cakes from the pans.
Make the sauce by melting the sugar in a pot over a low to medium flame. Do not stir. When the sugar has completely dissolved, remove it from the heat and add the heavy cream. The mixture will bubble up. Return to a low heat and stir vigorously until all lumps are gone and the sauce is a light golden brown. Finish with the butter and sea salt and remove from the heat. When the cakes have cooled, pour the caramel sauce over each cake and serve the remainder on the side. This recipe makes 6 mini bundt cakes but may be doubled to make one, 12 cup, bundt.

Flaky sea salt, for garnish
DIRECTIONS
In a saucepan over medium heat, combine butter, sugar, vanilla, and salt. Let butter melt and then cook, stirring constantly with a spatula (so the butter and sugar don't separate!), until mixture turns a dark amber, 12 to 15 minutes. (This can take closer to 20 minutes if you're heat is not high enough. Increase the heat and keep stirring until the color turns. Don't give up! If you'd like to use a candy thermometer for this step, attach it to the saucepan and cook until the temperature reaches 285º, or hard crack stage.) Toffee mixture should be dark in color and very thick.
Pour toffee mixture onto a parchment-lined baking sheet and immediately top all over with chocolate chips. Let sit 2 minutes so chocolate begins to melt, then spread chocolate all over with a spatula to create a layer on top of toffee.
Sprinkle all over with almonds and pecans (use chopped crumbs too for nice texture!) and flaky sea salt.
Refrigerate until set, about 1 hour, then cut or break into pieces and serve.
DELISH TIPS
- It may take longer than 15 minutes for your mixture to turn amber. Turn up the heat and keep stirring! It will change.
- Butter and sugar separation can happen when you don't stir the mixture frequently enough. Let the butter melt and the sugar dissolve and then get to it!
- Make sure your toffee mixture is a dark amber before you take it off the heat. If it's lighter in color, that means the mixture has not reached the "hard crack" stage and will be closer to a caramel sauce. If you feel like it the butter and sugar are not separating and the mixture is thickening but not getting dark, increase the heat a little.
